We believe that education transforms lives. Do you?

With only a few weeks before world leaders gather at the General Assembly of the United Nations Monitoring Report team EFA Global is launching a new website , ' Education Transforms ' , containing info graphics showing the fundamental role of education in achieving progress in different areas of development - the eradication of poverty , health, environmental sustainability , or the empowerment of women . Join us in the use of these tests to ask world leaders to ensure its central place of education in the context of global development after 2015 , completing the call action line.

Education is a powerful tool for transformation , but only when policy makers recognize and act on it will achieve genuine change . Although education has been voted as the top priority by the public in My World Poll , which will take much more to get the attention of world leaders.

Education and Sanitation - In Ethiopia , 6.8 million people gained access to improved sanitation from 1990 to 2006 . This was partly the result of having educated communities about the links between sanitation and health, and the application of new and affordable technologies .

On September 19 - the week before the General Assembly of the UN, where new development goals will be discussed - our website Education Transforms will be updated with new info graphics designed by Information is Beautiful , which will present new evidence of the indispensable role and powerful education support broader development objectives . These info graphics are presented in a booklet to be launched at an event in New York on that day, before the release of the next analysis Monitoring Report EFA Global 2013/14 .

It is our hope that these figures will be widely used and disseminated by all sectors of development to the cause of education to be given a prominent position in the development it deserves. Actually , interlaced connections between sectors are not sufficiently recognized in the global development goals . However, this will be vital if we are to move faster from 2015 that has come to some of the Millennium Development Goals in the last decade.

Each signature we received agreed that education not only transforms will go to support education of the 250 million children who are currently denied the right to a quality education , but to the overall global progress.

Revisit our new website on September 19 to see , share and write about new info graphics EFA GMR 2013/14 . And in the meantime , join us to remind world leaders of the informativeness power of education before meeting at the UN this summer, to help ensure the centrality of education in the context of global development after 2015.
